Fore A Purpose Golf Tournament:
Since 2001, the Fore A Purpose Golf Tournament has served as the largest fundraiser for the United Way of Cleveland County. The funds raised from this event enable us to fulfill our mission of supporting those in need. Over the years, this tournament has generated more than $1,000,000 to benefit Cleveland County. Your support for this event is invaluable and greatly appreciated by our community!

The 24th Annual United Way of Cleveland County's "FORE A PURPOSE" Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by Nippon Electric Glass, returns this October. Each year, supporting partners, caring businesses, and over a dozen dedicated volunteers come together for a fun and challenging game of golf, and to be a part of an impactful giving day. This fundraiser is one of the ways we are able to support the necessary programs and initiatives our agencies implement, and fill the gaps throughout our county. ​

Over the past three years the tournament has raised the bar, increasing our philanthropic efforts to over $90K. This success can only be achieved by the benevolence of having devoted and incredibly supportive sponsors and participants who come together in the spirit of giving back to Cleveland County. ​
​
All of the proceeds raised through our generous golf committee, sponsors, and in-kind donations directly enhance the United Way of Cleveland County’s annual giving campaign and the 24 agencies who benefit.

We're on the course uniting communities, bolstering heroes, and enhancing our efforts towards paving a pathway for more eminent and effective access to health, education and financial stability in Cleveland County.
